Half-Way to Whiz Bang Days February 9th 2019

Wicked Wort Brewing Company is honored to be hosting this years Half-Way to Whiz Bang event! It’s a full day of activities for all-ages from 11am-5pm!

Starting at 6pm we’re hosting a beer-wine-cider tasting in the lower-level of the brewery.

The $40 entry fee will allow you access to dinner catered by HyVee and the opportunity to taste our new Cider and Wine options along with two of our Wicked Wort flagship brews.

Beer-Wine-Cider Line Up!

Sant Croix Vineyards – Wine Tasting:
Marquette is the latest in a series of new grape varieties from the U of MN. Descended from the noble Pinot Noir, Marquette is a complex wine combining aromas of spice, cherry and blackberry with hints of vanilla and smoke from lengthy aging in American oak barrels.
La Crescent is an exciting variety from the University of Minnesota. Its enticing floral aromas are followed by rich tangerine and apricot on the palate.

Yellow Belly – Cider Tasting:
Semi-Sweet hard cider has a fresh, crisp flavor, like the bite of a juicy, tart apple. It’s not too sweet, and not too dry.
Ginger cider is our original cider infused with fresh ginger root grown on our certified organic farm. This cider has a balance of apple and ginger flavors, with a dry finish.

Wicked Wort – Beer Tasting:
Birdtown Blonde Ale 5.1% ABV 26 IBU – Our house Blonde Ale, named for its hometown. Easy drinking with a balance of malt and hops, it offers notes of honey graham crackers with an easy floral hop finish.
Tropical Berliner Weisse (Sour) 4% ABV 4 IBU – Tart, Dry, and quite drinkable. Featuring organic Passionfruit, Pink Guava, and Pineapple puree.
